give yourself a financial breather with skip-a-payment

Ever find yourself wishing you could hit "pause" on your monthly loan payments? Life happens, and when it does, our Skip-a-Payment program has you covered. Whether it's unexpected expenses, a temporary financial crunch, or simply the need for a little extra cash flow, for a small fee of $40, Skip-a-Payment offers a convenient solution to ease your financial burden.

qualification checklist

  • Submit your request at least 3 days before your payment date
  • Your loan must have a minimum of 12 months of payment history
  • You have not utilized more than one other skip within the calendar year
  • Full coverage insurance is required on vehicle loans
  • Skip-a-Payment is applicable only to auto and recreational vehicle loans; credit cards, home equity, and mortgage loans are not eligible. All United loans must be current and not otherwise in default (including unperfected liens) at the time your Skip-a-Payment request is made.

Once qualified, Skip-a-Payment allows most members to skip loan payments for up to 30 days, providing the breathing room needed to navigate unexpected financial situations. If your payment is automatically deducted from another bank or credit union, remember to reschedule the payment accordingly. Payments can be skipped twice per year, per loan.
